The first phase of the de-escalation plan is extended until 21 December in Catalonia

Catalonia will maintain the same restrictions for two more weeks

The Generalitat has decided to postpone until 21 December the access to section 2 of the de-escalation due to the worsening of the data the Covid in Catalonia. Thus, the Autonomous Community will remain in tranche 1 of the plan begun on 23 November and will maintain for another two weeks the same restrictions in force for mobility and economic, sports or cultural activities. Therefore, restrictions on night and weekend mobility and perimeter closure remain intact.

These are all the measures of the first of the four sections that make up the plan to lift the restrictions:

 

Mobility, travel and social encounters

You cannot enter or leave Catalonia, except in cases of health emergency, for work reasons, care of vulnerable people, return to the usual home and other duly justified causes of force majeure. During the weekend you cannot enter or leave the municipality from 6.00 on Friday until 6.00 on Monday, with the same exceptions.

Night mobility is restricted between 22.00 and 6.00, except in the same cases and for the purchase of pharmaceutical products and the care of pets (from 4.00 to 6.00).

Social meetings are limited to a maximum of six people.

 

Workplaces

It is recommended to limit the mobility of workers as much as possible, to prioritise distance work and to encourage flexibility in working hours.

 

Shops

Capacity limited to 30%.

Open beauty centers and hairdressers, by appointment.

The maximum closing time is 21.00.

They cannot open shopping malls, except supermarkets, unless they are essential services or are accessible from the street and cultural facilities.

 

Dining

Dining is allowed on the tables of the establishment between 6.00 and 21.30.

Indoor capacity of 30%, with adequate ventilation, and 100% on the terraces.

Maximum four people per table, except if they are a bubble of habitual coexistence.

Distance of 2 meters between tables.

On-site pick-up service until 22.00, and delivery service at home until 23.00.

 

Culture

Theatres, cinemas, auditoriums and concert halls can be opened for up to 50% and up to 500 people.

In libraries, museums, exhibition halls and art galleries the capacity is 50%.

Closes at 22.00 at the latest; return is allowed after 22.00.

 

Sports activity

Outdoor sports facilities and swimming pools can be opened with a capacity of 50%.

Indoor sports gyms and equipment can be opened with a capacity of 30%, with adequate ventilation.

Changing rooms cannot be used, except in swimming pools.

Access is allowed until 21.00 hours and use beyond this time, provided that night confinement is not breached.

The training of the federative and school sports activities is resumed.

Outdoor sports can be practiced in groups of up to six people, between neighboring municipalities during the municipal confinement on weekends, from 6.00 on Friday to 6.00 on Monday.

The postponement of all non-professional sports competitions is maintained.

These limitations do not affect centres for technical training and sports performance and professional sports facilities and equipment.

 

Education

In universities, theoretical classes are kept in virtual format.

In post-compulsory studies (baccalaureate, intermediate and higher level training cycles), the attendance of students is reduced.

Extracurricular activities in person, outside school hours, inside or outside the school with a maximum of six people.

Music or dance schools, up to six students per classroom.

Educational leisure, in indoor spaces up to a maximum of six people, and without limitation in the open air.

 

Public transport

The service is maintained at 100%, as well as the rush hour offer between 6.00 and 9.00 on weekdays.

 

Religious events and civil ceremonies:

Capacity is reduced to 30% of the space capacity.

 

Nightlife venues and establishments

Nightlife venues, parks and amusement fairs are kept closed.

 

Parks and gardens:

There is no access to parks or use of children’s games between 20.00 and 7.00.

 

Congresses, conventions, trade fairs and major festivals:

Its face-to-face celebration is suspended.

 

Activities related to gambling

The opening to the public of the activities of gaming halls, casinos and bingo halls is suspended.

 

Health prevention measures

In all spaces and activities, it will be necessary to maintain, as in the past, appropriate health prevention measures and to guarantee the safety distance between people.
